Former Punjab Kings captain KL Rahul has been signed by the Super Giants to lead the team from the front. KL Rahul became the joint highest paid player in the league after this signing. Along with KL Rahul, Super Giants also signed Marcus Stoinis and Ravi Bishnoi.
Lucknow Super Giants have put together a competitive squad ahead of their debut IPL season and we expect them to cause a few shocks along the way.

The Super Giants will be coached by former Kings XI assistant coach Andy Flower. He won the PSL with Multan Sultans in 2021 and came Runners-Up this year.
KL Rahul, who has enjoyed an excellent 18 months with the national side, has joined the new franchise from Punjab Kings. Rahul will captain the team and brings with him four successive IPL seasons of hitting more than 590 runs.
Ahead of the auction, the Giants captured KL Rahul, Australian T20 World Cup Winner Marcus Stoinis, and young leg-spinner, Ravi Bishnoi from Punjab Kings.
There were plenty of strong acquisitions from the auction for Lucknow with South Africa’s Quinton de Kock and West Indies’ Jason Holder the standout names.
Avesh Khan who picked up 24 wickets across the 2021 tournament will boost the bowling line-up of LSG . Andrew Tye has been called as replacement of Mark Wood who got injured.
Captain KL Rahul: The skipper carried Punjab Kings over recent seasons and has a remarkable batting average of 47.43 from 85 IPL innings. He has hit two centuries and 3273 runs in total so far.
Quinton de Kock: The South African keeper-batter contributed only two half-centuries as Mumbai Indians faded in 2022. He will benefit from a fresh start and will be looking to return to his form of 2019 and 2020 when he hit over 500 runs in both campaigns..
Jason Holder: The all-rounder from Barbados was starved of many appearances for Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2021 but still returned impressive numbers of 16 wickets from eight games. He has taken 30 wickets from 15 appearances over the last two seasons and is a dangerous player with bat and ball.
Avesh Khan: The 25 year old emerged as a top fast medium bowler in the 2021 IPL and finished second only to Harshal Patel in the wicket takers list. His exploits earned him international recognition as he made his debut for India in an IT20 victory over Sri Lanka in February 2022.
