The Punjab Cricket Association has constructed a brand new international cricket stadium in Mullanpur, which is situated a few kilometres out of Chandigarh city. The stadium took a long time to complete as the construction was started in 2017. It is PCA’s second stadium after IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali and the new stadium will also serve as Punjab Kings’ homeground.

The stadium has a seating capacity of 33,000 spectators and as per the PCA’s chairman’s claim, there are 49 corporate boxes, which is the highest number among all the international cricket stadiums of India.

The venue has 7 pitches and we can expect a batting track as in the latest Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the stadium had an average run rate of 8.51 in T20 format.
