Get all information about CSK in IPL 2023 including complete squad, players list, matches schedule, latest news and predictions.
Chennai Super Kings is the 2nd most successful team in IPL, with 4 title wins in 2010, 2011, 2018 and 2021. A lot of credit for the CSK’s success goes to the skipper MS Dhoni who has led the team since the first IPL season.
CSK didn’t have a season to remember last year where they managed to win only 4 out of 14 matches and finished at the bottom of the table along with Mumbai Indians.
CSK, along with the Rajasthan Royals were banned from the league for 2 seasons in 2016 and 2017. They made a comeback in the 2018 season and lifted the trophy.

The CSK team is captained by wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni and Stephen Fleming is the head coach. All the titles won by CSK have come under the captaincy of MS Dhoni.
As Dhoni’s retirement time is approaching, the team management is looking for a perfect successor to lead CSK. In the last season, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was appointed as the team but under his captaincy the team’s performance took a dip, after which he resigned from the position and Dhoni led the team again.
CSK shelled out INR 16.25 crore to rope in the England all-rounder Ben Stokes. He was earlier part of the Rajasthan Royals. CSK has roped in South Africa bowler Sisanda Magala to replace the injured Kyle Jamieson. Ajinkya Rahane was a surprising purchase by the CSK team at the auction.
CSK currently has a plenty of all-rounder options like Ben Stokes, Ravindra Jadeja, Moeen Ali, Mitchell Santner, Shivam Dube. Quality all-rounders can be game-changers in this format.
Ravindra Jadeja: Jadeja went through a long break from Cricket due to injury but he made a strong comeback and won back-to-back Player of the Match awards twice in the Test series against Australia. We are expecting a good performance from the all-rounder in this season of IPL. In 210 IPL matches, Jadeja has scored 2502 runs and picked 132 wickets.
Ben Stokes: Ben Stokes is regarded as one of the best all-rounders in modern-day cricket. CSK has high hopes from the England all-rounder. He has scored 920 runs and picked 28 wickets so far in 43 IPL matches.
Ruturaj Gaikwad: Over the last few seasons, Gaikwad has become one of the key batters of the CSK side. His good form can provide a perfect start to the innings and he is a reliable opener. Gaikwad has smashed 1207 runs in 36 IPL matches, which includes a century as well.
Mukesh Choudhary: Mukesh Choudhary was given an opportunity in the playing XI in the last season and he impressed everyone with his bowling skills. He was one of the silver linings for the CSK team in the last season. In 13 matches, Choudhary picked 16 wickets at an average of 26.5.
Devon Conway: Conway had a good season last year but he played only 7 matches in which he scored 252 runs at an average of 42.00. Conway is expected to play more matches this season and score more.
|Batsmen||Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ambati Rayudu, Devon Conway, Subhranshu Senapati, A Rahane, Shaik Rasheed|

The 2nd most successful IPL team after MI, Chennai Super Kings were indulged in experiments in the last season and evidently things didn’t turn out well for them. The transfer of captaincy from MS Dhoni to Ravindra Jadeja backfired and the team ended the league stage at the 9th place.
After some speculations about Ravindra Jadeja being released by the franchise, the final list has included his name and the team has decided to retain the spinner all-rounder.
It is expected that this could be MS Dhoni’s last season before he calls it a day on his long IPL journey but the confirmation on this would probably come after the season.
CSK’s star all-rounder Dwayne Bravo and batter Robin Uthappa have been released in the latest developments.
Ambati Rayudu, Deepak Chahar, Devon Conway, Dwaine Pretorius, Maheesh Theekshana, Matheesha Pathirana, Mitchell Santner, Moeen Ali, MS Dhoni, Mukesh Choudhary, Prashant Solanki, Rajvardhan Hangargekar, Ravindra Jadeja, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube, Simarjeet Singh, Subhranshu Senapati, Tushar Deshpande

Chennai Super Kings is currently having a transition period as many old iconic players are not in the team anymore and the management is working on making a new team and appointing a new captain. We are expecting that CSK will take another season to have a perfect strong team like they had before. We are expecting CSK to finish in the middle of the points table this season but we cannot see them qualifying for the playoffs.
The 5th IPL trophy still looks far away for the CSK team. If they get the combinations right this season and get in the required momentum then they might be able to proceed to the playoffs but it is going to be difficult for them to lift an IPL trophy.
We also know that CSK is also a game-changer team. Once they get into the momentum then they back themselves up to lift the trophy as well. If you want to bet on CSK’s IPL win then Bet365 is offering generous odds of 10.00 and Betway is giving 9.00 for CSK win in IPL outrights.
