The defending champions Chennai Super Kings will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the season opener of the IPL 2024 edition. The 1st match is scheduled to take place at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on 22nd March 2024.
CSK became the (joint) most successful team of the IPL by winning the 5th title in 2023, defeating Gujarat Titans in the final match. They will go into this season as the favourites and will be playing the first match at their homeground in Chennai.
RCB, on another note, is still struggling to win their first ever IPL trophy. They have been part of the league from the beginning in 2008 but have never been able to win the title. Their closest to the title was in 2009, 2011 and 2016 when they finished as runners-up.
As CSK and RCB are ready to take on each other in the first match of the IPL 2024, let’s take a look at the head to head record between them.
