Tim David Earns Australia Call As Squad Is Announced For T20 World Cup 2022

All-rounder Tim David has earned his maiden call for the Australian national team as they have announced the T20I squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2022 which is scheduled to take place in Australia in October-November this year.

David was born in Singapore and has also played 14 T20Is for his birth nation. He was included in the Australian squad under International Cricket Council’s rules. He will not be a contracted Aussie player.

The current T20 champions, Australia will also tour India with the same squad to play a three match T20I series in this month. This will be the first outing for Tim David to play for Australia following which the same team will face England and West Indies at home.

Tim David T20 Career

Tim David has played some terrific T20 cricket in the various leagues that he has been part of. In the PSL 2022, he played for Multan Sultans and finished with 278 runs at an average of 39.71. David also earned a contract with the IPL giant, Mumbai Indians and played 8 matches this year. He scored 186 runs at an average of 37.20.

He is part of the PSL, IPL, CPL, BBL and The Hundred. The acclaimed finisher has now played 122 T20 matches in which he has smashed 2640 runs at an average of 32.19.
