IPL 2022 Today SRH vs KKR Match - Will Aaron Finch and Washington Sundar Play Today?

The big question that is pondering over this match is about the availability of SRH’s spinner all-rounder Washington Sundar and KKR’s batter Aaron Finch.

Aaron Finch was signed by KKR as a replacement for England batter Alex Halex and now he has joined the KKR camp after completing the Pakistan tour. Australia won the only T20I against Pakistan under Finch’s captaincy.

On the other hand, Washington Sundar, who has been a spin specialist for SRH side, suffered a split webbing in his bowling hand in the last match.

Sundar has been ruled out for at least 2 matches, therefore he won’t be part of the playing 11 in today’s match against KKR.

Although it was reported earlier that there are two potential replacement players for Sundar - Shreyas Gopal and Jagadeesha Suchith, we are speculating that SRH might look towards Abdul Samad as well. To make room for Aaron Finch, Sam Billings might have to give his playing 11 spot to Sheldon Jackson as KKR will not look to replace other overseas players Andre Russell, Sunil Narine or Pat Cummins. Billings could manage to score 95 runs in 5 matches so, it won’t be painful for the team to make sit in the dugout for Aaron Finch, who can be a game changer at the top along with in-form Venkatesh Iyer.
