Much to everyone’s surprise, star T20 players like Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer, Chris Gayle and Mitchell Starc are among many other players who decided not to enrol their names for this year’s IPL mega auction which is set to take place on February 12-13, 2022 at Bangalore.

England white-ball skipper Joe Root has also opted out of India's T20 league. The IPL mega auction this year has enlisted the names of 1214 players to go under the hammer, out of which 896 are Indian players while the rest 318 are overseas players.

Among the important international players who have made themselves available this year are - Pat Cummins, David Warner, Steve Smith, Quinton de Kock, Faf du Plessis, Mark Wood and Kagiso Rabada. All these players are available at a base price of INR 2 crore.

Among Kagiso Rabada, two other South African Pacers, Lungi Ngidi and Marco Jansen, who played brilliantly in the recently held Test and ODI series against India, have also made themselves available at the IPL auction at a base price of INR 50 lakh.

Dwayne Bravo, who retired at the same time from international T20 along with Chris Gayle, has made himself available to participate in the IPL 2022. He is currently playing the Bangladesh Premier League and looks in good form with the bat and ball.

In the 2 crore category, there are many A-lister Indian players like Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shikhar Dhawan, Shardul Thakur, Suresh Raina, Mohammad Shami, Ambati Rayudu.

Former IPL fast bowler, S Sreesanth has also made a comeback after a few years and he is available in this year’s mega auction at base price of INR 50 lakh.

The mega auction for IPL 2022 will take place on February 12-13 with 1214 players set to be auctioned for the 10 IPL teams. We will provide the details of the live broadcast and live streaming of the IPL auction, once it becomes available to us.
