South Africa has announced the 15-man T20I squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2022 which is scheduled to start on 16th October in Australia. The Proteas’ regular white-ball skipper Temba Bavuma is back to the T20I squad after recovering from the elbow injury.
South African hitter Rassie van der Dussen has been ruled out of the ICC mega event due to finger injury that he sustained during the 2nd Test against England.
Temba Bavuma is set to lead South Africa in the T20 World Cup for the 2nd time in 2 years.
Among other additions to the squad, Rilee Rossow is making a comeback to South Africa’s T20I squad after six years and 22-year-old Tristan Stubbs will make his first presence.
