Pakistan’s 22-year-old pacer Mohammad Hasnain is set to replace the injured pacer Shaheen Afridi in the upcoming continental tournament, Asia Cup 2022. Due to a ligament injury in the right knee, Afridi has been ruled out of the Asia Cup 2022. The tournament is scheduled to start on 27th August and Pakistan will play their first clash against arch-rivals India on 28th August at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Mohammad Hasnain is currently in the UK participating in the Hundred for Oval Invincibles. He will fly straight from the UK to join the Pakistan team in UAE.
Hasnain has played 18 T20Is so far in which he picked 17 wickets. He has been part of many famous leagues like BBL, the Hundred and has played a total of 82 T20s in which he has picked 100 wickets.

Pakistan and India will face each other in their opening match of the Asia Cup 2022 on Sunday 28th August. Both the teams have faced the blow as India’s key pacer Jasprit Bumrah is also ruled out due to injury.
