IPL 2022 has completed its 3rd week and there are some exciting fluctuations that took place at the points table's.
Among the latest updates from last week, CSK has finally earned their first win of the season after putting up a mammoth total of 216 runs on the board against RCB. CSK won the match by 23 runs and earned the first 2 points while their archenemy Mumbai Indians are yet to win their first match.
Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans are leading the points table with 5 wins out of 6 matches. Sunrisers Hyderabad handed GT their first defeat of their debut season. SRH has made the biggest jump this week with their streak of 4 wins in a row. The orange army has backed themselves up pretty well. The heroics of Umran Malik helped restrict a strong batting line-up of Punjab Kings to a mere 151.
Rajasthan Royals gained their 2nd spot on the table after winning one of the best matches of this season, against Kolkata Knight Riders. With Jos Buttler’s 2nd century and helpful quick runs by Sanju Samson and Shimron Hetmyer, RR managed to put up the highest total of the season - 217. Much to their surprise, KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer batted brilliantly and with Aaron Finch’s help and Umesh Yadav’s cameo, KKR reached 210. Yuzvendra Chahal took the KKR batters for a harsh ride and put up the first 5-wicket haul of the season including a perfect hat-trick in the last over of his spell.
Another debuting franchise, Lucknow Super Giants are pretty impressive so far. They are at the 3rd spot currently with 4 wins in 6 matches. KL Rahul smashed the 2nd century of the season and earned the top spot in the highest score list with 103 runs off 60 deliveries against Mumbai Indians.

Jos Buttler is not going to let his orange cap slip from his head easily. Just when Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul were coming closer to his total score tally, the England batter smashed his 2nd century of the season against KKR. Buttler’s total of 375 runs is 139 runs more than the 2nd highest scorer, Shreyas Iyer.
Shreyas Iyer batted brilliantly against Rajasthan Royals, while chasing a target of 218. His knock of 85 runs came off just 51 deliveries, taking his total runs to 236 in 7 innings.
KL Rahul is just 1 run behind Iyer after smashing 103 runs off 60 deliveries against Mumbai Indians.
