The Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction event is set to take place on February 12-13, 2022 in Bengaluru. From the earlier original list of 1214 players, IPL has selected a total of 590 players to go under the hammer in 2 days of auction.
Among 590 players, there are 228 capped players, 355 uncapped players and 7 players belonging to the Associate nations.
Among the 10 marquee players, there is - Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, David Warner, Faf du Plessis, Mohammed Shami, Pat Cummins, Trent Boult, Kagiso Rabada, Quinton de Kock, Ravichandran Ashwin. Their base price is set at INR 2 crore.
A total of 48 players have chosen to be in the top category of base price 2 crore. Followed by 20 players in the INR 1.5 crore category and 34 players in the INR 1 crore shelf.
370 Indians players and 220 overseas players will form the IPL mega auction this year.
