Sourav Ganguly will captain the Indian Maharajas against World Giants in Legends League Cricket

Former Indian captain and Board of Control for Cricket in India president Sourav Ganguly will lead the India Maharajas team against the World Giants in a special inaugural match of the 2nd season of Legends League Cricket. The match is scheduled to take place on 16 September, 2022.

The first season of the LLC took place in January this year and it became a success.

The 2nd season will feature 4 teams and 15 matches will take place.

The special match India Maharajas vs World Giants will take place at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata to mark the 75th anniversary of Indian Independence.

It has been reported that foreign players from around 10 nations will play in this special match and the World Giants will be led by the former white-ball England captain Eoin Morgan, who is also the 2019 ICC World Cup captain.

Indian veteran players like Virender Sehwag, Irfan Pathan, Harbhajan Singh will also be part of the team.
