In a sudden turn of events, BCCI has announced that the venue for Delhi Capitals vs Punjab Kings match has been shifted from Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune to Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.
The decision has been taken after five persons in the DC camp have been infected, including Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh, who has just played 1 match so far.
The decision to change the venue has been taken in order to control the outbreak of the infection, due to bus travel to Pune.
Brabourne Stadium is one of the 4 venues where IPL matches are taking place this year. So far, 8 matches have taken place at this venue this season.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has taken quick action to the issue. Earlier it was speculated that the match might get postponed but the management is going with the same match date as before with just a change in venue.
DC is currently at the 8th spot on the points table with 2 wins so far while Punjab Kings are at the 7th spot with 3 wins out of 6 matches.
