The pitch at Arun Jaitley Stadium has been batter’s paradise in this World Cup. South Africa scored 428 runs on this track to put up the highest ever total in World Cup history. Australia won the last match against Netherlands by a margin of 309 runs.

The batters enjoy batting in the 1st innings as the surface becomes heavily batting oriented. In bowling, both fast bowlers and spinners have picked up wickets on this pitch but at the cost of high economy and average.

Arun Jaitley Stadium has hosted 30 ODIs so far out of which 15 were won by the team batting first and 14 by the chasing team.
