As the hype around the IPL auctions is getting bigger and bigger every year, this year’s mega auction is nothing lesser. The 15th season of the biggest cricket league, Indian Premier League is likely to commence from the end of March and go on till the end of May.
What makes this year’s IPL so big is the addition of 2 new franchises which will further increase the number of matches as well. The new franchises are based in Ahmedabad and Lucknow and revealed their names to be Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants, respectively. Hardik Pandya has been appointed as the captain of the Gujarat Titans while KL Rahul will lead the Lucknow Super Giants.

When and Where is the IPL Mega Auction ?
IPL Mega Auction 2022 is scheduled to take place on the 12-13 February, 2022 at Hotel ITC Gardenia in Bengaluru, India. The live coverage of the auction will begin at 11:00 AM IST.

How many players go under the IPL mega auction 2022 ?
A total of 590 players have been selected from the original list of 1214 players. 590 shortlisted players comprise of 370 Indian players and 220 overseas players.
What is the highest and lowest bidding price ?
The highest base price for a player is INR 2 crore while the lowest range is INR 20 lakh. 48 players will feature under the 2 crore category.
