Middle-order batter David Miller will join the team after completing the Netherlands series on 2nd April. Ireland bowler Joshua Little, who is also the first Irish player to feature in the IPL, will be out for the first few matches due to international commitments.

- Deepak Chahar- the right-arm fast bowler missed the entire 2021 campaign with a back injury but has since been back in the India team.
- Moeen Ali- The England all-rounder is one of the top all-rounders in this format. In 44 IPL matches, Ali has picked 24 wickets and scored 910 runs.
