Rajasthan Royals will take on Gujarat Titans in the 24th Match of the IPL 2022 on 14th April at DY Patil Stadium, Mumbai.
Both the teams are having match-winning combinations currently. Gujarat Titans lost their first match of the season against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday. Their first defeat came after 3 straight wins.
On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals have also won 3 out of 4 matches and they are currently at the top of the points table.
It won’t be wrong to say that RR currently has the best squad of all teams. The fact that both the purple cap and orange cap holders are in the Rajasthan team proves that.
Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal are pretty good at the top. Buttler currently tops the highest run getter list with 218 runs in 4 matches. Sanju Samson couldn’t perform well after scoring 55 in the first match. Rassie van der Dussen is a class player of this format. He should be given more chances in the upcoming matches and he will definitely deliver for the team.
Shimron Hetmyer has been very impressive this season. He currently has a whopping average of 84.00 and his scores in the last 4 matches read 59, 42, 35, 32.
Kuldeep Sen has entered into one of the best bowling units of the season. He picked 1 wicket in his first match against LSG. Prasidh Krishna and Trent Boult are taking care of the pace department while Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal’s combo is undoubtedly one of the top in the international circuit. Chahal holds the purple cap for his 11 wickets in 4 matches at an economy of 6.50.

Before this IPL season started, there were many fingers pointed on Hardik Pandya’s fitness and his captaincy abilities.
First he proved his fitness by bowling full overs in the matches along with decent batting and then went on to lead his team to the three straight wins, which is a dream debut for this franchise.
Matthew Wade was decent in the first match against Lucknow Super Giants but couldn’t perform well after that. The team might not think about making him sit as everyone is aware of his capabilities in this format.
Shubman Gill has finally regained his form and scored two back to back fabulous knocks against Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings. That pretty 35 off 30 balls might have cemented place for Sai Sudharshan in the playing 11.
Hardik Pandya is coming back to his old form, smashing runs with the bat and picking wickets. In the last match against SRH, he smashed a half century and picked a wicket. Although GT lost their first match against SRH but Pandya’s performance was praised.
GT bowlers have to strengthen up a little. Mohammad Shami, after performing well in the first match, has given off 30+ runs in the next 3 matches. Rashid Khan and Lockie Ferguson have picked 6 and 5 wickets, respectively, but Ferguson was smashed for 46 runs in the last match against SRH which had cost GT their first loss.
