Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings will clash in match 23 of the Indian T20 League. Mumbai has been poor so far in the tournament, losing all their four games. Meanwhile, Punjab have played 4 games, winning two and losing as many. The biggest concern for the Mumbai team is their bowling which looks too bleak at the moment. Also, the form of Rohit Sharma is a cause of concern.
For Punjab, they have played an aggressive brand of cricket. The con of playing bang-bang cricket is that you cannot consistently win the games. The same has happened with Punjab. But they are a good team, capable enough to win against any opposition.
Mumbai need some changes in the bowling and they might bring in Riley Meredith in place of Basil Thampi
Mumbai will go into the match with the opening pair of Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan. Following them will be Baby AB, Dewald Brevis. The Men in blue will be desperate for runs from Rohit Sharma
Suryakumar Yadav, Ramandeep Singh and Tilak Varma will be the middle order players. Yadav has been terrific in both the games he has played. Meanwhile, Varma has also impressed one and all.
Kieron Pollard will be the all-rounder of the team. He can be lethal in the final overs and can chip in a few overs as well.
We feel Mumbai will bring Riley Meredith to the team in place of Basil Thampi. Jasprit Bumrah, Jaydev Unadkat and Murugan Ashwin will be the other bowlers.

Odean Smith has been ordinary and the team management may drop him and bring in Rishi Dhawan.
Mayank Agarwal and Shikhar Dhawan will open the innings, followed by Liam Livingstone. Dhawan has played a few good innings, while Livingstone has been in destructive form. However, the team will need runs from Mayank Agarwal.
Jonny Bairstow, Jitesh Sharma and Shahrukh Khan will follow the aforementioned batters. All are big hitters and will be responsible for keeping up the run rate in middle and final overs.
Punjab may drop Odean Smith who has been ordinary in the tournament. They may bring in Rishi Dhawan instead.
Kagiso Rabada, Vaibhav Arora, Arshdeep Singh and Rahul Chahar will comprise the bowling attack. Rabada and Chahar need to bring out their A-game against strong Mumbai batting while Arshdeep and Arora will have to play the supporting role and not leak too many runs.
