Mumbai Indians is set to take on the debuting franchise Lucknow Super Giants in Match 26 of the IPL 2022 on 16th April at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.
MI are yet to see their first win of the season while LSG is at 4th spot with 3 wins in 5 matches.
Rohit Sharma is trying to get his form back as he isn’t scoring up to his potential. Ishan Kishan is doing his job well but needs to stay focused.
Suryakumar Yadav has entered into this season in a beast mode and he has smashed 168 runs in just 3 innings. Yadav along with Dewald Brevis and Tilak Varma will take care of the middle order. Brevis played a staggering knock of 49 runs off 25 balls in the last match.
With Kieron Pollard out of form, the middle order of MI starts to weaken after Suryakumar Yadav.
The bowling department is where the MI is actually lacking this season. They’re certainly not able to fill the void left by Trent Boult, Rahul Chahar. Bumrah and Thampi have picked 9 wickets in total so far and they have also given a lot of runs as well.
Tymal Mills is currently the top wicket taker for MI with 6 wickets in 4 matches. Jaydev Unadkat is also trying to cement his place into the playing 11.

KL Rahul is going little out of form but he will be back with one fine knock. Quinton de Kock is in great touch. He has smashed 188 runs in 5 innings. Great news for LSG as Marcus Stoinis is back and he looks in positive form. He smashed 38 runs off 17 balls in the last match.
Evin Lewis has to sit in the dugout to make way for Aussie all-rounder Marcus Stoinis.
Deepak Hooda and Ayush Badoni can certainly be called reliable middle-order batters with the form they are in.
Krishnappa Gowtham has joined the LSG all-rounder unit with Jason Holder and Krunal Pandya. He picked 2 wickets in the last match.
The bowling department of LSG looks good enough to restrict the opposition. Ravi Bishnoi, Krishnappa Gowtham, Krunal Pandya take care of the spin attack while Avesh Khan, Jason Holder and Dushmantha Chameera are given the pace attack responsibilities. Stoinis can also be a helpful medium pacer, therefore, LSG’s bowling is packed with some quality bowlers.
