With the Cricket World Cup 2023 just around the corner, the anticipation is getting more and more everyday. The biggest ICC cricket tournament is back with the 13th edition after 4 years. Now ICC has announced the much-awaited prize money for the CWC 2023.

The team winning the Cricket World Cup 2023 trophy on 19th November at Narendra Modi Stadium will take away a whopping $4 million cheque. A total of $10 million prize pool has been assigned for the winners of the Cricket World Cup 2023 matches.

The 2023 edition of the Cricket World Cup will have a total of 48 matches which will take place across 10 venues in India. India will be hosting the prestigious World Cup after 12 years. The last time they co-hosted the tournament was in 2011 when they also lifted the Cricket World Cup trophy for the 2nd time after 28 years.

Cricket World Cup 2023 Format

The Cricket World Cup 2023 will follow the round-robin format just like it did in the 2019 edition. Each team will face the other 9 teams once in the group stage. The top 4 teams will advance to the semi-finals round.

The winners of the 2 semi-finals will face each other in the final of the Cricket World Cup 2023 on 19th November, 2023. The first and the final match of the tournament will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, which is currently the biggest cricket stadium in the world by seating capacity.
