Chattogram Challengers are favorites to win
A desperate Sylhet Thunder will be seeking their first win of the tournament when they go head-to-head with Chattogram Challengers. This will be the 10th match of the Bangladesh Premier League 2019-20 and it will be played on December 17 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. Mahmudullah has joined the team and has taken over the reigns from Rayad Emrit who sat out the last game against Rangpur Rangers. Chattogram Challengers had made three more changes to their line-up; they picked Avishka Fernando, Ryan Burl and Mehedi Hasan Rana in place of Lendl Simmons, Nasum Ahmed and Enamul Haque jnr.
Imrul Kayes and Chadwick Walton have been consistent with the bat this season and they will be the ones to watch out for in this batting line-up. Rubel Hossain has been the most impressive of the bowlers and he along with Kesrick Williams and Mahedi Hasan are the key figures for Chattogram Challengers in terms of bowling.
Chattogram Challengers have won two and lost one out of their first three fixtures and are placed third on the BPL 2019-20 points table with four points in their kitty. They beat Sylhet Thunder in the tournament opener before losing to Khulna Tigers. The Challengers, however, are coming off a six-wicket win over Rangpur Rangers.

Sylhet Thunder made three changes to their side in the last game against Dhaka Platoon - they dropped Jeevan Mendis, Nazmul Hossain Milon and Naveen-ul-Haq and replaced them by Andre Fletcher, Shafiqullah Shafiq and Delwar Hossain. We expect them to keep the same line-up for this match.
Sylhet Thunder will bank on the likes of Andre Fletcher, Johnson Charles and Mohammad Mithun to score the bulk of their runs. Mohammad Mithun cracked an unbeaten 84 in the reverse encounter and he will be expected to replicate that performance on Tuesday. With the ball, the Thunder will rely heavily on Krishmar Santokie, Ebadot Hossain and Nazmul Islam to pick up wickets and apply pressure on the opposition.
Sylhet Thunder have had a disappointing start to the season, losing their first three matches on the bounce. Their opening game against Chattogram Challengers was a pretty close contest but their last two matches - against Rajshahi Royals and Dhaka Platoon - were one-sided affairs. The Thunder have so far looked below-par with the ball.

Chattogram Challengers have won two while Sylhet Thunder have won three out of the five matches that have been played between them in the BPL. The Challengers registered a five-wicket win when the two teams met earlier this season - in the opening match at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
