England are favorites to win
England defeated the West Indies by 29 runs in the high-scoring fourth one-day international at Grenada to take an unassailable 2-1 lead in the series. With just one more game to go, the hosts can now only draw the series at best and they will look to do just that on the 2nd of March. The fifth and final ODI will be played at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet, St Lucia. Live telecast is scheduled to begin at 11 AM local time.

The pitch at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium is expected to offer more assistance to the seam bowlers early on in the morning. And also since three of the last four completed one-day internationals at this venue have been won by the side batting second, the toss-winning captain will probably opt to chase.

West Indies rested Andre Russell for the fourth ODI as he was not fit enough to bowl but the all-rounder is likely to fully recover in time for this series decider. Carlos Brathwaite should retain his place in the side after his all-round performance in the last game which means either Devendra Bishoo or Oshane Thomas could be left out from the playing eleven. The rest of the West Indian line-up is expected to remain unchanged.
Chris Gayle has fired in every single game in this ODI series and he is definitely the key man for the West Indies. The opener has cracked two centuries and a half-century in the three innings he has played and his 97-ball 162 took the team very close to England's 418 in the last game. Darren Bravo, Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer who is averaging 65 are the other big guns in this batting group. Sheldon Cottrell, Jason Holder and Carlos Brathwaite have been impressive with the ball and the Windies will be relying heavily on them. Cottrell has been the pick of the lot with six wickets in the two completed matches, The pacer bagged a five-wicket haul in the second ODI and he will be expected to deliver a similar performance here. Skipper Holder has taken five in the series and he together with Cottrell can cause some damage with the new ball.
West Indies have now lost six of their last eight completed one-day internationals and two out of the three they have played so far this year. The hosts, after winning the second ODI by 26 runs, failed to take lead in the series as they went down by 29 runs in the fourth match after the third match was abandoned due to rain. Batsmen have been firing for the Windies but their bowlers will need to up their game.
Chris Gayle, John Campbell, Shai Hope (wk), Darren Bravo, Shimron Hetmyer, Jason Holder (c), Carlos Brathwaite, Andre Russell, Ashley Nurse, Devendra Bishoo/Oshane Thomas, Sheldon Cottrell
Ben Stokes was not included in the starting eleven for the rain-abandoned third ODI due to a knee injury but the all-rounder is completely fit now and he even played the last game. Jason Roy missed out last time due to a hamstring niggle. The batsman is likely to return for the fifth ODI and could replace Alex Hales to open the England innings alongside Jonny Bairstow. As part of their preparations for the World Cup, the visitors might consider bringing Tom Curran in place of Mark Wood who has already sealed his place in the squad for the marquee tournament.
Eoin Morgan, Joe Root and Jos Buttler have all had a good series and all three of them will pose a serious threat to the West Indian bowlers. Morgan has hit a century and a couple of fifties in the three completed matches and scored 103 runs in the fourth ODI. Buttler blitzed 150 off just 77 balls in that game to propel England to a match-winning total of 418 and the team will want him to continue from where he left off. Adil Rashid is leading the series wickets charts with nine wickets and he will be England's go-to man when it comes to bowling. The leg-spinner claimed a five-fer last time and he can put pressure on the Windies again in the middle overs. Mark Wood has also been very impressive with five wickets, and if he plays, he will be backed by his team to pick up wickets upfront. Ben Stokes, who has a fifty with the bat and five wickets with the ball, is another vital cog in this line-up.
England are continuing their rich vein of form in the fifty-over format and they now have seven wins in their last nine completed one-day internationals. In the ongoing England's tour of West Indies, the visitors have looked the better side in the ODI series except for the second match where they threw away their last six wickets for just 35 runs during their run-chase. The visitors were absolutely brilliant with the bat in the first game where they chased down 360 and in the last game where they set the Windies an improbable target of 419.
Alex Hales/Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan (c), Jos Buttler (wk), Ben Stokes, Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, Adil Rashid, Liam Plunkett, Mark Wood/Tom Curran
West Indies and England have now played 100 one-day internationals against each other with the hosts winning 43 of those. The visitors have won 51 while the rest have not produced any results.
England have now won eleven of the last twelve completed matches they have played against the Windies in the fifty-over format.
The two countries have faced each other three times at this ground in ODIs with the hosts emerging victorious on two occasions. While the Windies won the first two matches by five wickets and four wickets respectively during England's tour of West Indies in 2004, the visitors secured a 26-run win in the most recent encounter here in April 2009.
Matches Played: 100; West Indies Won: 43; England Won: 51; NR: 6
England are going into the fifth one-day international as favorites to win at odds of 1.40 with Betway, 1.44 with Bet365 and 1.45 with Betfair. West Indies are the underdogs amongst the bookmakers for this game and they are being offered at a higher price of 3.05 with Betfair and 2.75 with both Betway and Bet365.
England's victory in the last match has put pressure on the West Indies as they will have to ensure a win here at all costs in order to avert a series defeat. The hosts also have not been faring too well at this ground in the fifty-over format; they have won just two of their last eleven completed ODIs here. However, they have won two out of their three ODIs against England at this ground which might give them some confidence heading into this game. The visitors, barring the second ODI, have looked the better side in this series and we expect them to finish on a high.
