James Vince has slotted straight into the top of the order since arriving after his Big Bash League campaign ended. He was joined by wicket-keeper Umar Siddiq last time out, and the two are likely to continue after sharing a 135-run opening partnership and both hitting half-centuries. The bowling attack was the issue last time out, with too many too expensive. Junaid Khan and the older Mohammad Irfan are likely to be guaranteed places, but the rest look to still be up for grabs.
Captain Shoaib Malik top-scored for Multan Sultans in each of their first three matches, hitting 52, 31* and 53 in those three innings.
It was all about the openers last time out, however - especially England's James Vince who smashed 84 from 41 balls, including seven fours and six sixes. He shared a 135-run stand with Umar Siddiq (53 from 38 balls) in just 11.5 overs.
Andre Russell and Laurie Evans are both capable of big innings in the middle order, meanwhile - Evans was a centurion during the Bangladesh Premier League, while Russell has done likewise, as well as claiming wickets, in the Caribbean Premier League among others.
With the ball, Junaid Khan claimed 3-39 last time out to move to six wickets in three matches so far. He also took 11 wickets in the Bangladesh Premier League before this tournament.
Multan Sultans have lost three of their four matches so far this season, having started with a seven-run defeat to Karachi Kings despite Shoaib Malik's half-century in a total of 176/9.
Malik was their top-scorer again next up, leading the chase of 126 to beat Islamabad United by five wickets with eight balls to spare.
Another Malik half-century could not prevent defeat to Quetta Gladiators, however - the Sultans posted 160/9, but lost by eight wickets with ten balls remaining.
Last time out, James Vince led the way with 84 from 41 balls in a 135-run opening partnership with Umar Siddiq (53) against Lahore Qalandars. They could not defend their total of 200/6, however, as they lost off the final ball, as Dan Christian conceded a six from it - the Qalandars having needed 70 from five overs at one point.

Dawid Malan failed to make an impact with the bat after replacing Wayne Madsen last time out but he could be given another chance. Sameen Gul replaced Ibtisam Sheikh, meanwhile, and took three wickets - so Zalmi could be unchanged despite the defeat.
Hasan Ali moved to 11 wickets in just four matches so far when he took 2-29 last time out, having previously taken 4-15 against both Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars in the previous two games.
Wahab Riaz, last season's joint-top wicket taker and one of Comilla Victorians' leading players as they won the Bangladesh Premier League too, took 2-18 in the first game and 3-17 in the second, meanwhile, on his way to seven wickets in total so far.
With the bat, Kamran Akmal - last season's top Pakistani run scorer in the PSL - scored 49 in the first match but is yet to go past that score.
Kieron Pollard was back to his big-hitting best last time out, hitting the 44th T20 half-century of his career - 51 off just 22 balls. Imam-ul-Haq and Umar Amin have also hit half-centuries so far in this season's tournament.
After falling to a last over defeat as they failed to defend 155/4 against Quetta Gladiators first up, Peshawar Zalmi had won twom in a row until defeat last time ou.
Hasan Ali (4-15), Wahab Riaz (3-17) and Ibtisam Sheikh (2-14) helped to bowl Lahore Qalandars out for 78 as Zalmi roared back with a seven-wicket win in just 10.1 overs - Umar Amin scoring 61 from 39 balls in reply.
Another 4-15 from Ali then helped them restrict Karachi Kings to 109/9 chasing 154 to beat Zalmi next up.
The run of wins did not last, however. Last time out, Sameen Gul took 3-29 as Islamabad United posted 158/9 and, in reply, Zalmi fell to 146 all out despite Kieron Pollard's 51 from 22 balls in the middle order.

Multan Sultans won both matches against Peshawar Zalmi on their PSL debut last season. Wahab Riaz took 2-19 for Zalmi in their first meeting last season, after Mohammad Hafeez hit 59, but Kumar Sangakkara and Shoaib Malik batted the Sultans to a seven-wicket win chasing 152.
Next time they met, Shoaib Maqsood hit an unbeaten 85 from 42 balls in a total of 183/3. Hafeez scored 56 in reply, but Sohail Tanvir's 3-14 and three wickets for Kieron Pollard too ensured the Sultans closed out a 19-run win.
Peshawar Zalmi have been made outsiders by Bet365, at 2.00 to win compared to 1.80 on the out-of-form Multan Sultans.
The Sultans' batsman did shine last time out, however. James Vince is 4.00 to be their top batsman again with Bet365, while they are 1.90 to post the highest opening partnership.
The issue has been the Sultans' bowling, however, even if Junaid Khan is 3.40 to be their top bowler with Bet365.
For Zalmi, you can back in-form Hasan Ali at 3.50 to be their top bowler after impressing so far in this year's tournament. Wahab Riaz is also in good form, however, and is 4.00 to be Zalmi's top bowler with Bet365.
Both sides lost last time out, with Multan Sultans' bowling in particular letting them down. If Zalmi's in-form opening bowlers can keep the Sultans' score down, they can claim victory.
