They dropped Agha Salman, Brendan Taylor and Shaheen Afridi while bringing in Gauhar Ali, Corey Anderson and Yasir Shah as the respective replacements. Salman Butt has replaced Mohammad Hafeez, who was earlier ruled out of the PSL due to injury, and he will continue to bat at number three.

Fakhar Zaman and AB de Villiers have had a couple of good knocks in PSL 2019 and these two batsmen hold the key for Lahore Qalandars at the top of the order. Fakhar has smashed two fifties in five matches while de Villiers is having a strike-rate of around 140 and is coming off an unbeaten 45 in the reverse encounter against Quetta Gladiators. Corey Anderson is known for his big-hitting and the middle-order batsman can be destructive in the slog overs. Rahat Ali and Haris Rauf are amongst the tournament's top five bowlers with nine and eight wickets respectively. The two pacers have claimed a four-fer each and they will pose the biggest threat to Quetta Gladiators. While Lahore will expect the left-armer Rahat to pick wickets in the powerplay, they will need Rauf to bowl a tight spell at the death. Yasir Shah is a seasoned campaigner and he too can be threatening with his legbreaks on this pitch.

Ahsan Ali is likely to continue opening the batting alongside Shane Watson while Rilee Rossouw will continue to bat at number three. The Gladiators have fielded the same group of eleven in their last two matches and we expect them to stay unchanged for this match as well.

Umar Akmal is currently leading the PSL 2019 runs charts with 200 runs followed by Shane Watson who is not too far behind with 186 runs. Both these batsmen have hit a couple of half-centuries and they are definitely the key men for Quetta Gladiators. Sarfaraz Ahmed smashed an unbeaten 36-ball 52 in the reverse fixture and the skipper will be expected to put on another match-winning performance. Sohail Tanvir, Mohammad Nawaz and Ghulam Mudassar are the main weapons in Quetta's bowling attack. Tanvir has been the most successful of the trio with nine wickets in five matches which includes a four-wicket haul. The fast bowler is the second-best bowler of the tournament and it will be mainly up to him to take wickets with the new ball. Lahore will also watch out for Mudassar who snared three wickets against them last Saturday.

They batted second in each of their first four games and won three of those pretty convincingly.
