India very rarely suffer a giant-killing in any format and all experts are predicting an easy victory for them in this game. We expect India to look to show their power with both bat and ball across this fixture.
This is the second successive Asia Cup which Hong Kong have qualified for. They have very little to lose in this match and should be full of confidence after dominating the qualifying tournament earlier this month.

This will be the first time that these two sides have played an IT20 fixture. They have previously competed in two ODIs, each in the Asia Cup, with India winning both games in 2008 and 2018.
India are favourites with the bookies to get off to a winning start in this year’s Asia Cup. However, based on their win over Sri Lanka, and overall record against India, Hong Kong should not be ruled out.

Although they have not beaten India before in any format, Hong Kong certainly gave them a big fright in the 2018 match when their openers put on 174 when chasing 286 to win. India eventually won by 26 runs but the Hong Kong players will take plenty of strength from that recent performance.
