This is not much of a match-up as India obviously is a far superior side. India come into the match after beating Pakistan by 5 wickets. Sensational spells by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Hardik Pandya helped India bowl out Pakistan for 147 before Hardik Pandya proved his mettle with the bat as well and scored 33 runs in 17 balls to take India home. Ravindra Jadeja and Virat Kohli also scored 35 runs each to help Pandya in India’s win.
Meanwhile, Hong Kong qualified for the Asia Cup after beating UAE and Kuwait in the qualifiers. This match will be a great learning experience for the Hong Kong team but an upset doesn’t look likely.
The wicket has been on the slower side and it will further get slower as the match progresses. Scoring against new ball will be easier and teams need to make the powerplay count before spinners come in to bowl
The weather will be quite hot and challenging for the players with the temperature soaring to the high 30s.

Virat Kohli has not been in great form but he scored 35 runs against Pakistan. He looked scratchy but showed signs of a return to form. A lot has been said about Virat but we feel that a big inning from Virat is not far away.
It will not be easy for Hong Kong bowlers against Rohit Sharma at the start. Sharma would be seeing this as an opportunity to score some big runs and return to form. Sharma can score a hundred against Hong Kong.
Nizakat Khan has been a good batter for Hong Kong over the years and did well in the Asia Cup qualifiers. He is one player than can be backed to perform well against a strong India bowling.
Hardik Pandya was on fire against Pakistan and won the player of the match award. He picked three wickets and scored match-winning 33 runs in 17 balls to take India home. Pandya has been a match-winner for India and he proved his worth once again. He will be eyeing to continue his momentum.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar continued his sensational run in T20Is and picked 4 wickets in the last game against Pakistan. He is getting the ball to swing both ways at the start which is why he is among the hardest bowler to face in the tournament.
