Yorkshire are favorites to win
Durham will take on Yorkshire Vikings in the 2022 Vitality Blast. The game will be played at The RIverside, Chester-le-Street starting at 18:30 local time on Friday June 17th.
Durham got a surprise victory over top of the table Lancashire Lightning in their last game in the competition. The win saw Durham climb up to seventh place in the North Group, three points behind Yorkshire Vikings in fourth place. The victory over Lancashire Lightning was due to excellent bowling performance from Andrew Tye and Nathan Sowter who both took 3 wickets. With the bat, Durham got over the winning line with three balls remaining in spite of only three players contributing double-figure scores.
Yorkshire Vikings have taken nine points from eight matches after winning four, losing three and getting one no-result in this campaign. They come into this clash in excellent form in this format after they thrashed Birmingham Bears by 10 wickets and won with 43 balls remaining last Friday. Captain David Willey led the way with the ball and returned figures of 3-17 as the Bears were bowled out for 101. With the bat, Adam Lyth (58 not-out) and Dawid Malan (38 not-out) had no problem chasing down the total.
Live Streaming: Fans can stream the match on the Fan Code app; the ECB website and app; and SkyGo.
The match will be played at The Riverside, Chester-le-Street. So far in this season’s tournament, we have seen bowlers on top at this ground and we expect any score over 170 to be defendable.

Durham’s victory over Lancashire Lightning, in their last fixture, was a timely reminder that anyone can beat anyone in the T20 Blast. However, Durham have struggled for consistency in this campaign and we are backing Yorkshire Vikings to return from Chester-le-Street with the win.
