Chennai Super Kings to win
Gujarat Titans will take on Chennai Super Kings in the 59th match of the IPL 2024. The game will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and will start at 7:30 PM IST on May 10.
Gujarat Titans need a miracle to qualify for the playoffs. With just four wins in 11 games, they are placed at the bottom of the points table. GT need to win all three games by massive margins to have any hopes of qualifying but they play CSK, KKR and SRH, the three most dangerous teams in IPL 2024, in their following matches. The road to the final looks a distant dream and to be fair, the IPL 2022 champions have not shown any signs of a team that is competing to win.
Meanwhile, CSK returned to winning ways after they defeated PBKS by 28 runs. CSK need wins in all three games to assure themselves a playoff berth. The points table is jam packed and SRH, DC, LSG and even RCB are in the fray for the final two spots. In an ideal situation, CSK would look to win all three games and book a berth in playoffs, however, if they'd to lose a game, it certainly won't be against GT. CSK have RR to play in Chennai thus a win against GT is a must to keep them in good space. However, lack of consistency from Ajinkya Rahane, Daryl Mitchell and Ravindra Jadeja is a cause of concern. Also, with Mustafizur Rahman and Matheesha Pathirana out, the bowling looks bleak.

CSK have a problem of plenty. Mustafizur Rahman has returned home while Matheesha Pathirana has also went back to Sri Lanka due to injury. Maheesh Theekshana is available but with Santner doing well in previous game, he is likely to warm he bench. CSK could drop Richard Gleeson and bring in Rachin Ravindra. Ajinkya Rahane could be dropped for Mukesh Choudhary.

Simranjeet Singh bagged two wickets for 16 runs while coming in as an Impact player. He will be preferred if CSK need a bowler while Sameer Rizvi could come in if there is a need for a batter.
CSK have blown hot and cold but they have won six games in 11 outings. Wins in remaining three games will take CSK to playoffs, however, the team has looked over reliant on Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shivam Dube with the bat. Other batters need to chip in too.

Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube and Daryl Mitchell can be backed as top batters for CSK. Gaikwad and Dube have been the best batters for CSK, scoring 541 and 350 runs respectively. Also, Daryl Mitchell has found some form lately and scored 30 off 19 against PBKS.
Mohit Sharma, Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmed will carry the team's bowling. Noor has bowled well but wickets haven't come his way. Mohit has taken a few wickets and will be a big threat on the sluggish surface. Rashid, however, needs to pick his game. He hasn't looked the same bowler since undergoing the back surgery and needs to bring back his best game for the sake of GT.
Ravindra Jadeja and Mitchell Santner will create problems for GT. Both spinners will enjoy bowling to GT batters who have struggled against the spinners this season. Also, Tushar Deshpande has bowled well for CSK, taking 12 wickets.
CSK are favourites to win. The team has a well-balanced squad and the win over PBKS in previous game would have restored their confidence which might have taken a blow after consistent defeats. Runs from Jadeja and Mitchell Santner bowling well seems to have fill in the loop hopes. Given how GT have fared this season, CSK should register an easy win.
