Toss Prediction
The side bowling first at this ground has had a much higher win percentage than the side batting first in this inaugural GT20 Canada. Since nine of the past ten matches here have been won by the team that has fielded first, the toss-winning skipper will most likely prefer to chase in this match.

Vancouver Knights Team News & Playing 11
VCK Team News
Vancouver Knights replaced Evin Lewis with Ben Dunk in their last two matches against Toronto Nationals and the Cricket West Indies B Team respectively. Lewis, the destructive West Indian opening batsman, could return for this do-or-die encounter against the Winnipeg Hawks and open the batting alongside his fellow team-mate Chris Gayle. We don't expect the Knights to make any changes to their bowling line-up for this match.
VCK Key Players
Chadwick Walton, Chris Gayle, Rassie van der Dussen and Babar Hayat will be the key batsmen for Vancouver Knights. While van der Dussen has scored the most runs for the side in the tournament, Gayle and Walton are both coming off half-centuries in the first qualifier against the CWI B Team. Babar had blasted a 33-ball 65 in the reverse encounter against Winnipeg Hawks and the team will be expecting a similar performance from him. Paceman Sheldon Cottrell and leg-spinner Fawad Ahmed were the wreckers-in-chief in that game with three wickets each and these two bowlers can once again shake Winnipeg's batting line-up. While Cottrell will be the big threat in this pace attack, Tim Southee with nine wickets in six matches and loads of experience will also be the one to watch out for.
VCK Recent Form
Vancouver Knights, after losing the tournament opener to Toronto Nationals, went on to win their next four completed fixtures to finish at the top of the points table. However, their winning streak came to end when they suffered a six-wicket loss at the hands of the Cricket West Indies B Team in their last game - a thrilling high-scoring first qualifier of the GT20 Canada. The Knights would be slightly concerned about their bowling as their bowlers failed to defend a big total of 215 against the CWI B Team.
Vancouver Knights Predicted Playing 11
Chris Gayle (c), Evin Lewis, Chadwick Walton (wk), Rassie van der Dussen, Babar Hayat, Andre Russell, Saad Bin Zafar, Tim Southee, Fawad Ahmed, Steven Jacobs, Sheldon Cottrell
Winnipeg Hawks Team News & Playing 11
WPH Team News
Winnipeg Hawks don't have any injury issues to deal with ahead of this all-important game against the Vancouver Knights. They have won their last two matches with the current line-up and would want to stick with the winning combination. So expect the Hawks to come into the second qualifier with the same set of eleven from the last game.
WPH Key Players
The opening pair of David Warner and Lendl Simmons hold the key to Winnipeg's batting. Simmons is the leading run-getter in this GT20 Canada with 286 runs at an average of around 48 while Warner has returned to form with scores of 42 and 55 in his last two innings. Another key figure in the side is Ben McDermott who smashed his second fifty of the tournament, scoring an unbeaten 65 in the Eliminator against Edmonton Royals. Rayad Emrit was outstanding with the ball in that game with figures of 4-0-28-4 and the Knights will look to be watchful against him. Ali Khan took a couple of wickets in the reverse fixture and the opposition will also be wary of him. The biggest challenge, however, will come from Fidel Edwards who has taken ten wickets for Winnipeg Hawks in five matches.
WPH Recent Form
Winnipeg Hawks had finished third in the league standings after having won three and lost as many out of the six matches played during the league stage. They secured an eight-wicket win over the Edmonton Royals in a Round 2 game and then beat them again by seven wickets in the Eliminator. The Hawks have been impressive with the bat all through the tournament and they have been pretty decent with the ball as well.
Winnipeg Hawks Predicted Playing 11
David Warner (c), Lendl Simmons, Ben McDermott (wk), Mark Deyal, Darren Bravo, David Miller, Tion Webster, Ali Khan, Fidel Edwards, Rayad Emrit, Hiral Patel
