Trinbago vs Jamaica Preview & Prediction

Chris Gayle carried his Natwest T20 Blast form into the first game and hit a 36-ball 51. The opener is going to be the key for Tallawahs with the bat and he should be backed to top-score against Trinbago. Sangakkara also looked promising and Andre Russell played a good hand towards the end, scoring a quickfire 34 off 20 balls. So Gayle, Sangakkara, Shakib and Russell will be the batsmen to watch out for.

Fast bowlers Steyn and Williams will be opening the bowling for Jamaica Tallawahs and the pace duo will look to put the Knight Riders on the back foot. The latter took three wickets against St Kitts and he is also expected to do well at the Queen's Park Oval. Since the pitch will favor spin, Shakib Al Hasan should enjoy bowling on this surface and he can do some damage as well.

The two teams have gone head-to-head 7 times and the Jamaica Tallawahs have an edge here as they lead 4-3. However, Trinbago Knight Riders have a good record against them at the Queen's Park Oval, with three wins in four games. Also, the last three games played at this venue have all been won by the Knight Riders. But they could be a little short on confidence after having lost two of their first three games. The Tallawahs, on the other hand, won their first match and with Gayle in full flow, they could give the defending champions a surprise.

Though Trinbago Knight Riders appear to be stronger on paper, we're predicting Jamaica Tallawahs to emerge winners in this match based on current form.
