Our Pick Central Stags are favorites to win
Both teams sit next to each other in the points table. Otago Volts have two wins in 3 matches while Central Stags have two wins in four games. It’s still early days in the tournament but it is one of the most awaited games of the tournament.
Read our Preview as Otago Volts host Central Stags in the 11th match of the Super Smash. The match will be played at University Oval, Dunedin and is scheduled to begin at 3:10 local time.
Otago Volts have a decent bowling line up and we expect them to keep a check on the Central Stags bowling line up. Jacob Duffy, Mitchell McClenaghan are one of the finest T-20 bowlers. Also the all rounders I.e Anaru Kitchen, Michael Rippon and Matthew Bacon will do the job on most days.
The batting is also good Hamish Rutherford, Neil Broom and Nick Kelly. The middle order looks a bit wobbly though as apart from Llew Johnson, none of the other batsmen has scored runs.
Central District on the other were restricted to 117 in their 20 overs but overall their batting has been very good. George Worker has been in terrific form at the top. The performance from Leopard, Clever and Bracewell has been decent too.
In the bowling department Doug Bracewell, Blair Tickner, Ajaz Patel, and Kieran Noema-Barnett form a strong attack.
Overall, Central Stags forms a pretty balance team and looks good to pocket a victory against Otago Volts.

Looking at Otago Volts we see some loops holes in the batting order. They do have few good batsmen but their middle order looks wobbly. We’d like to go with Central Stags as the winner of the match as they’re a more balanced unit.
Wicket Keeper
Dane Clever at 9.0 is the best bet from this section. He’s already had a hundred in this tournament and is a top class batsmen.
Batsmen
Hamish Rutherford at 10, Neil Broom at 9.0, Christian Leopard at 8.5 and Llew Johnson at 8.0 will form a strong batting order. Rutherford stroked a brilliant 49 in the last match and is a very decent batsmen. Neil Broom is Otago’s most experienced batsmen and has some runs behind him. Christian Leopard and Llew Johnson too have had some decent performances in the tournament.
All rounder
George Worker at 10.0, Josh Clarkson at 9.5 and Doug Bracewell at 9.5 will add a lot of strength in our team. Worker is the leading run scorer of the tournament while Clarkson has been fine form. Bracewell too have some runs to his name in the Super Smash 2020-21
Bowlers
Blair Tickner at 9.0, Jacob Duffy and Jayden Lennox at 8.5 will complete our team. Tickner and Jacob Duffy have been very consistent while Lennox had a great game against Northern Knights
