Coached by former English county cricketer Carl Crowe and captained by former West Indian skipper Kieron Pollard, New York Strikers have assembled an exciting team for the 2022 tournament. The Strikers are one of two teams in an expanded eight-team competition.
NYS Batting
There is plenty of experience in the New York Strikers batting line-up with the likes of former England World Cup winning skipper Eoin Morgan and Irish opener Paul Stirling alongside Pollard. 24 year old Azam Khan is a very dangerous short format batter who will be well worth watching alongside Romario Shepherd with the bat in this game.

Alongside the experienced batters, former West Indian international Ravi Rampaul and Pakistan left-arm quick Wahab Riaz both bring a career full of wickets into the New York Strikers side. Young English players Jordan Thompson and Tom Hartley have both impressed in white ball tournaments over recent seasons.

During the 2021 tournament, Bangla Tigers finished in fourth place to advance to the play-offs. However, they were beaten by Team Abu Dhabi by seven wickets in the Eliminator. Aftab Ahmed will coach the side with fellow Bangladeshi, Shakib Al Hasan, captaining the team.
BT Batting
Alongside Shakib, there is plenty of explosive batting in the Bangla Tigers side. West Indian Evin Lewis, England’s Joe Clarke, New Zealander Colin Munro and Afghanistan’s Hazratullah Zazai are all powerful players at the top of the order.

Pakistan’s Mohammad Amir continues to be one of the best white ball bowlers in the world and he will be Bangla Tigers’ main pace option. Left-arm wrist spinner Jake Lintott has made a name for himself in the Men’s Hundred and other franchise leagues over the last two seasons.
