Abu Dhabi Team Preview

Captained by England all-rounder Moeen Ali, Team Abu Dhabi is all set to make its debut in the T10 League. The team seems to have sufficient firepower in both the batting and bowling departments. Apart from Moeen Ali, who led his county Worcestershire to the finals of the Vitality T20 Blast in September, Team Abu Dhabi has quality international batsmen in Luke Wright, Niroshan Dickwella and Corey Anderson who can be a match-winner on his day. They have also roped in Nepal's batting all-rounder Paras Khadka into the mix. England's Alex Davies is the other wicketkeeper in the squad besides Dickwella. Ben Laughlin, Harry Gurney, Mohammad Amir and Hayden Walsh are the four specialist bowlers in the side. Harry Gurney is an experienced T20 bowler and he will be the team's go-to man in the death overs.

Maratha Arabians Team Preview

Maratha Arabians fared pretty well last season and finished fourth. They lost two of their first three matches before winning three of their next four matches. They faced Bengal Tigers in the third-place playoff and lost by six wickets. This year, Maratha Arabians have come up with a strong-looking squad that will be led by former India batting star Yuvraj Singh. The skipper last played at the Global T20 Canada earlier this year where he had a few good knocks. Yuvraj will be joined by Chris Lynn, Hazratullah Zazai and Adam Lyth in the batting department. Dwayne Bravo and Dasun Shanaka are the two all-rounders in the side while Chadwick Walton is the lone specialist wicketkeeper. Mohammad Irfan and Lasith Malinga will lead Maratha's bowling attack that also has James Fuller and Wanindu Hasaranga.

Bangla Tigers Team Preview

Bangla Tigers have assembled a decent looking team for this third edition of the T10 League. The Sri Lankan hard-hitting all-rounder Thisara Perera will captain the side and is expected to make a significant impact this season. Andre Fletcher, Colin Ingram and Rilee Rossow are all capable of playing the big shots right from the word go and are going to be the key men for the Tigers with the bat. The team has a fine selection of all-rounders in David Wiese, Chirag Suri, Robbie Frylinck and the captain himself. England pacer Liam Plunkett and Afghanistan leg-spinner Qais Ahmad are the two specialist bowlers in this squad. Liam Plunkett will be relied upon heavily to pick wickets and the likes of Thisara Perera, Hassan Khan and David Wiese will be expected to provide him good support.

Bangla Tigers Squad

Thisara Perera (c), Liam Plunkett, Farhad Reza, Andre Fletcher, Rilee Rossouw, Robbie Frylinck, Colin Ingram, Shehan Jayasuriya, Anamul Haque, David Wiese, Chirag Suri, Qais Ahmad, Hassan Khan

Deccan Gladiators Team Preview

Deccan Gladiators will be led by former Australia all-rounder Shane Watson in this year's T10 League. Apart from him, the batting department boasts quality batsmen like Kieron Pollard, Anton Devcich, Mohammad Shahzad and Ben Cutting who are all powerful strikers of the cricket ball. Pollard has been in really good form of late and he had a strike-rate of over 300 at the Caribbean Premier League. The Gladiators also have a pretty good bowling attack with the likes of Tymal Mills, Mason Crane, Zahir Khan and Fawad Ahmed – the Australian leg-spinner who has been economical in the past few seasons of the Big Bash League.

Deccan Gladiators Squad

Shane Watson (c), Kieron Pollard, Mohammad Shahzad, Tymal Mills, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Ben Cutting, Fawad Ahmed, Anton Devcich, Imtiaz Ahmed, Sharif Asadullah, Daniel Lawrence, Mason Crane, Zahir Khan, Zahoor Khan, Migael Pretorius

Qalandars Team Preview

A Pakistan based team, Qalandars are the latest addition to the tournament who will be led by former international star Shahid Afridi. Unfortunately, the franchise will be missing many of their big players like Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Hafeez and Imad Wasim who have been withdrawn by the Pakistan Cricket Board. They, however, still have some talented players in their squad like Tom Banton who performed really well recently at the T20 Blast. Luke Ronchi is familiar with the conditions in Abu Dhabi and he will be the team's biggest hope with the bat. In terms of bowling, the Qalandars will depend mainly on England seamer Chris Jordan to deliver the goods. Haris Rauf and left-arm spinner Samit Patel are two other wicket-taking options in the side.

Qalandars Squad

Shahid Afridi (c), Imran Nazir, Luke Ronchi, Samit Patel, Laurie Evans, Chris Jordan, Jordan Clark, Philip Salt, Tom Banton, Sohail Akhtar, Haris Rauf, Ahsan Mirza, Maaz Khan, Dilbar Hussain

Delhi Bulls Team Preview

Like Qalandars, Delhi Bulls too have been hurt by the PCB's decision to withdraw its contracted players from the T10 League 2019. Sohail Tanvir, Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hasnain who were picked in the squad initially now may not make it to the tournament. Shoaib Malik though could be made available since he has retired from test and ODI cricket. The Bulls will be skippered by England limited-overs captain Eoin Morgan and he will be having the likes of Paul Stirling, Kusal Perera and Muhammad Usman as company in the batting department. Delhi Bulls have a pretty strong bowling attack that will be led by Zaheer Khan and Adil Rashid. Dushmantha Chameera and Aamer Yamin are the others in the squad who are capable with the ball.

Delhi Bulls Squad

Eoin Morgan (c), Shoaib Malik, Zaheer Khan, Sohail Tanvir, Paul Stirling, Adil Rashid, Mohammad Nabi, Kusal Perera, Dushmantha Chameera, Tobias Visee, Aamer Yamin, Waheed Ahmed, Ali Khan, Muhammad Usman, Sherfane Rutherford

Northern Warriors Team Preview

Northern Warriors are champions of the previous season. They topped their group and qualifier standings and defeated Pakhtoons in the final to clinch their maiden title. The team will be led by the two-time World Cup winning captain Darren Sammy who can make an impact with his big hitting. In Andre Russell, Nicholas Pooran and Lendl Simmons, the Warriors have one of the strongest batting units in the tournament. Russell will be the biggest threat for the oppositions due to his ability to win matches with the bat on his own. Sam Billings is the other wicketkeeper in the squad besides Pooran. Sri Lanka's Nuwan Pradeep will be spearheading the team's bowling attack and he will be supported by Rayad Emrit, Chris Green and Karim Janat.

Northern Warriors Squad

Daren Sammy (c), Lendl Simmons, Rayad Emrit, Nuwan Pradeep, Andre Russell, Sam Billings, Pravin Tambe, Sikandar Raza, Nicholas Pooran, George Munsey, Chris Green, Mark Deyal, Karim Janat, Amir Hayat, Ansh Tandon

Karnataka Tuskers Team Preview

Karnataka Tuskers have South African batting legend Hashim Amla as their captain and icon player for this year's T10 League. Amla may not have been in the best of forms lately but he will still be the danger man in this slang-bang format. The West Indian trio of Marlon Samuels, Johnson Charles and Evin Lewis are the explosive batsmen in the squad other than Hashim Amla. The Tuskers appear to be well-stoked when it comes to bowling resources. The likes of Sandeep Lamichhane, Kesrick Williams and Fabian Allen make them a formidable bowling outfit. Sandeep Lamichhane is now viewed as a serious threat around the world and the conditions in Abu Dhabi are expected to suit his style of bowling. Nathan Rimmington, Shapoor Zadran and Patrick Brown are the other specialist bowlers in the team.

Karnataka Tuskers Squad

Hashim Amla (c), Marlon Samuels, Shapoor Zadran, Shafiqullah Shafiq, Nathan Rimmington, Asad Pathan, Ross Whiteley, Johnson Charles, Evin Lewis, Fabian Allen, Ahmed Raza, Sandeep Lamichhane, Kesrick Williams, Patrick Brown

Our Prediction: Who Will Win T10 League 2019?

Delhi Bulls and Qalandars have been dealt a huge blow ahead of the start of the T10 League 2019. Many of their Pakistani players have been pulled out from the tournament by the national cricket board, and in such a scenario, it is tough to see them going past the group stage. So betting on these two teams to win the tournament is not advisable at all. Bangla Tigers appear to be a little light on the bowling front and will have to rely heavily on Liam Plunkett almost every time. Karnataka Tuskers, on the other hand, have a pretty strong bowling attack but lack depth in the batting department in comparison to some of the other teams in the competition.

Team Abu Dhabi, Maratha Arabians, Deccan Gladiators and defending champions Northern Warriors are the four teams that we feel should go a long way in this year's T10 League. Team Abu Dhabi may not boast too many big names in their squad but they certainly have a few talented players in their ranks to take them to the playoffs. Maratha Arabians have a fine blend of experience and youth while Northern Warriors who emerged victorious last time will go into the tournament high on confidence.

Deccan Gladiators, however, have a well-balanced side and seem to be well stocked in both batting and bowling departments which is why we are backing them to win this third season of the T10 League.

Final Verdict: Back Deccan Gladiators to win the T10 League 2019.
