Batsman Salman Butt has replaced him in the squad. Yasir Shah was dropped and was replaced by left-arm spinner Hassan Khan. Lahore Qalandars will now be led by AB de Villiers.

The opener hit a half-century in the first match against Islamabad United and he will look to score big once again. Daniel Christian and Andre Russell are the team's vital cogs in the middle order and they can also make significant contributions with the ball.
