Helsinki CC are favourites to win
Reigning Finnish Premier League champions Helsinki CC take on newly-promoted, back-to-back Division 1 winners Greater Helsinki CC in the latest round of FPL fixtures at the Kerava National Cricket Ground. The match takes place on June 13 and the live action is scheduled to start at 08:30 local time.
Helsinki CC have won two from two so far this season to continue their winning form from last season. A comfortable win against Vantaa CC first up was followed by a dominant victory against Bengal Tigers CC Thundercats in a match reduced to five overs each. Helsinki smashed 59/1 and restricted BTCC to 35/8.
Greater Helsinki’s first match after promotion was reduced by the rain – they lost by six wickets on the DLS method to SKK. They proved their credentials despite defeat to Empire CC Lions last time out, however. Chasing 149 to win, they eventually came up just short on 142/8.

A warm morning with zero chance of rain will continue the return to good weather in Kerava.
The Kerava wicket undoubtedly favours bowling but there have been some big runs on occasions to prove the pace of the wicket is good for settled batsmen too.

Ghulam Abbas Butt came into the team last time out and smashed 40 from 20 balls at the top of the order to prove his credentials. Helsinki could stick with that same line-up, which would mean former FPC duo Abdul Ahad Qureshi and Abdul Wahid Qureshi having to put up with being down the batting order once more.
Khalid Rahman Mangal: Set the tempo with 44 from 30 balls in the opening game and then hit a patient unbeaten 17* from ten balls last time out as he played the supporting role.
Akhil Arjunan: Scored an unbeaten 25 in the opening game and has now taken three wickets across the opening two games.

Greater Helsinki paid the price for wayward bowling in their opening FPL game, having initially posted 132/6 and reduced SKK to 30/4 from 3.3 overs in reply. SKK recovered to post 104/4 in 13.3 overs to win on the DLS method.
Last time out, Empire CC Lions posted 148/5 and a sluggish start meant Greater Helsinki will well behind the required rate. Naveed Shahid’s 50* from 29 balls gave them hope, but they eventually fell to a six-run defeat.
