Jaffna Kings

Although they lost their last match, to Kandy Falcons by 10 runs on Thursday in Pallekele, Jaffna Kings come into this game in second place in the group and with a game in hand on the teams in first and third place. A victory in this fixture will put clear distance between the top two teams and the other four.

JK Batting

Against the top of the table side, runs from opener Avishka Fernando (33 from 20 balls) and keeper-batter Sadeera Samarawickrama (48 from 41 balls) gave Jaffna Kings hope of chasing down their target of 161. They will however need far more support from the rest of the recognised batters in this game.

JK Bowling

Dunith Wellalage, Dilashan Madushanka, Waqar Salamkheil and James Fuller all took two wickets each in the defeat against Kandy Falcons. 22 year old Madushanka will leak runs on this pitch but should also be able to generate good pace from the surface.
