After taking a match-turning hat-trick on his Bangladesh Premier League debut against Rangpur Riders, Al Islam is likely to continue in place of Mohor Sheikh in what could be an unchanged Dhaka Dynamites’ line-up.

Though he scored just one against Rangpur Riders, Hazratullah Zazai has already made an impression on this tournament with 78 from 41 balls in the first game and 57 from 36 in the second. He and Sunil Narine shared good opening partnerships in both of those games and will both want to get back in the runs against Sylhet Sixers.

Without runs from those two, it fell to Kieron Pollard to smash five fours and four sixes in a total of 62 from 26 balls to lift the Dynamites to what proved a match-winning 183/9. Andre Russell also hit three sixes as he scored 23, backing up scores of 21* and 25 in the first two games.

With the ball, debutant Al Islam stole the headlines with a hat-trick to swing the match Dhaka’s way, having already removed dangerman Rilee Rossouw. Shakib Al Hasan claimed 1-35 on his favourite bowling wicket and now has five in three games.

Narine’s two wickets in the penultimate over also proved vital, following up the two wickets he took in the win against Khulna Titans.

Dhaka Dynamites have won three from three so far, thanks to some big-hitting with the bat. Hazratullah Zazai top-scored with 78 and 57 in scores of 189/5 and 192/6 as Dhaka thrashed Rajshahi Kings and Khulna Titans respectively. Rubel Hossain took 3-7 as the former were bowled out for 106, while Shakib Al Hasan claimed 3-18 as the Titans lasted just 13 overs and scored 87.

Last time out, against Rangpur Riders, Dhaka posted 183/9 after some late hitting from Kieron Pollard (62 from 26 balls). In reply, Ranpur Riders looked set for victory but Al Islam removed dangerman Rilee Rossouw and then, on his debut, claimed a hat-trick. He finished with 4-26 and the Riders finished two runs short on 181/9.
