Dhaka Dynamites Team News & Playing 11
DD Team News
After taking a match-turning hat-trick on his Bangladesh Premier League debut against Rangpur Riders, Al Islam is likely to continue in place of Mohor Sheikh in what could be an unchanged Dhaka Dynamites’ line-up.
DD Key Players
Though he scored just one against Rangpur Riders, Hazratullah Zazai has already made an impression on this tournament with 78 from 41 balls in the first game and 57 from 36 in the second. He and Sunil Narine shared good opening partnerships in both of those games and will both want to get back in the runs against Sylhet Sixers.
Without runs from those two, it fell to Kieron Pollard to smash five fours and four sixes in a total of 62 from 26 balls to lift the Dynamites to what proved a match-winning 183/9. Andre Russell also hit three sixes as he scored 23, backing up scores of 21* and 25 in the first two games.
With the ball, debutant Al Islam stole the headlines with a hat-trick to swing the match Dhaka’s way, having already removed dangerman Rilee Rossouw. Shakib Al Hasan claimed 1-35 on his favourite bowling wicket and now has five in three games.
Narine’s two wickets in the penultimate over also proved vital, following up the two wickets he took in the win against Khulna Titans.
DD Team Form
Dhaka Dynamites have won three from three so far, thanks to some big-hitting with the bat. Hazratullah Zazai top-scored with 78 and 57 in scores of 189/5 and 192/6 as Dhaka thrashed Rajshahi Kings and Khulna Titans respectively. Rubel Hossain took 3-7 as the former were bowled out for 106, while Shakib Al Hasan claimed 3-18 as the Titans lasted just 13 overs and scored 87.
Last time out, against Rangpur Riders, Dhaka posted 183/9 after some late hitting from Kieron Pollard (62 from 26 balls). In reply, Ranpur Riders looked set for victory but Al Islam removed dangerman Rilee Rossouw and then, on his debut, claimed a hat-trick. He finished with 4-26 and the Riders finished two runs short on 181/9.

Sylhet Sixers Team News & Playing 11
SYL Team News
Nasir Hossain replaced Towhid Hridoy last time out, in the only change from the defeat to Comilla Victorians. The latter had struggled to just eight from 24 balls to waste several overs of the Sixers’ innings in that opening game. After winning last time out, the Sixers could be unchanged to face Dhaka.
SYL Key Players
Captain David Warner is the obvious danger man and proved as much when he scored 59 from 47 balls in the win against Chittagong Vikings – despite watching his first three batting partners fall cheaply within the first 16 balls.
Afif Hossain (45 from 28 balls) also proved his form, leading the recovery with Warner and laying the platform for Nicolas Pooran to continue his fine batting form. Pooran hit 41 from 26 balls in the first game and an unbeaten 52 from 32 balls against the Vikings. He was previously one of the stand-out batsmen in the T10 League.
Sandeep Lamichhane has arrived after taking eight wickets in four games for Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League, meanwhile. The Nepalese spinner took 2-16 in the Sixers’ opening game and followed that up with four economical overs in the five-run win against Chittagong Vikings. Taskin Ahmed was the leading bowler last time – he claimed 4-28 from his four overs.
Sylhet Sixers Predicted Playing 11
David Warner, Liton Das, Nasir Hossain, Nicolas Pooran, Sabbir Rahman, Afif Hossain, Alok Kapali, Sandeep Lamichhane, Al-Amin Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Mohammad Irfan

DD vs SYL Head to Head
Dhaka Dynamites and Sylhet Sixers each won one of their two matches in last season’s competition – the only previous meetings between the two franchises in their current guises. Dhaka Dynamites’ win was the fastest in BPL history – taking just 7.5 overs to chase down Sylhet’s 101/9, after Shahid Afridi had taken 4-12. Evin Lewis hit an unbeaten 44 from 18 balls to lead the record-breaking chase. They had previously met on the opening day of the competition, in Sylhet, where it was the Sixers in explosive form – Upul Tharanga’s 69 not out from 38 balls leading them to a nine-wicket win, in just 12.5 overs, replying to Dhaka’s 139/7.
Dhaka Dynamites vs Sylhet Sixers Betting Odds
Having made it three wins from three last time out, Dhaka Dynamites are big favourites to earn another win against Sylhet Sixers. Dhaka are a best price of 1.57 to win with Betfair, whereas the Sixers are 2.38.
The opening partnerships could be key, particularly with Hazratullah Zazai and Sunil Narine opening up for the Dynamites. They are 1.91 with Betfair to post the highest opening partnership, ahead of David Warner and Liton Das.
Hazratullah is 6.00 to be the game’s top batsman, while Kieron Pollard has proved his form down the order. It is a risk, given how low he bats, but Pollard is 15.00 to be the game’s top batsman and in-form Andre Russell is 26.00. A top-order collapse could put both in the frame, but Zazai looks a far more likely bet given his current form.
Dhaka Dynamites vs Sylhet Sixers Prediction
Dhaka Dynamites have won three from three so far, with runs throughout the team and a trio of big scores to their name. They can beat the Sixers to make it four in a row.
Final Verdict: Back Dhaka Dynamites to beat Sylhet Sixers at 1.57 with Betfair
