The side batting first has been favored more often at this venue in recent times. And also since the wicket is expected to offer more assistance to the bowlers later on in the evening, the toss-winning captain could elect to bat first.

Derbyshire Team News & Playing 11
DERBY Team News
Derbyshire will miss the services of Wahab Riaz for the remainder of the Vitality Blast. The team has called up New Zealand batsman Henry Nicholls as replacement for the Pakistani pace bowler. Safyaan Sharif, the fast bowler from Scotland, could be brought in place of Riaz for this upcoming clash against Leicestershire.
DERBY Key Players
Calum MacLeod and Wayne Madsen have been the most consistent batsmen for Derbyshire in this Vitality Blast and the onus will be on these two to set the tone for their team. Wicketkeeper Gary Wilson has chipped in with a few handy contributions and he is going to be Derbyshire's best bet with the bat in the middle order. Bowling will rely mainly on pacemen Lockie Ferguson and Alex Hughes who have been the most impressive of all the bowlers in the side. Ravi Rampaul has done okay so far and his role with the new ball will now become even more important with the departure of Wahab Riaz.
DERBY Recent Form
Derbyshire have not done too well nor too badly so far in this year's Vitality Blast. However, they have certainly become more consistent after losing their first four matches on the trot. Derbyshire have done a pretty decent job with the ball in their past few matches but they would want a little more effort from their batsmen as the tournament is nearing the end of its group stage.
Derbyshire Predicted Playing 11
Billy Godleman, Calum MacLeod, Anuj Dal, Wayne Madsen, Gary Wilson (c/wk), Matthew Critchley, Alex Hughes, Hardus Viljoen, Safyaan Sharif, Lockie Ferguson, Ravi Rampaul
Leicestershire Team News & Playing 11
LEIC Team News
None of the players from Leicestershire were reported to have been injured at the time of writing. We expect them to field the same group of eleven that beat Lancashire at the Old Trafford last Friday.
LEIC Key Players
Leicestershire seem to have a lot of reliance on Ben Raine and Neil Dexter to score the big runs and they hold the key to their batting at the top. The former with a very healthy strike-rate looks the more in-form of the two and is more likely to top-score for his side in this match. Skipper Colin Ackermann is a pretty decent batsman himself and it will be crucial that he performs in case Leicestershire lose a few early wickets. Mohammad Nabi is another key figure in this line-up. The allrounder can make vital contributions with the bat and on his day can turn the game around with his off-spin. Callum Parkinson has had a good season so far and the skipper will turn to this left-arm spinner to keep Derbyshire's run-rate in check.
LEIC Recent Form
Leicestershire currently find themselves outside of the top four in the North Group points table. They have performed well below their potential this season and they will need to win both their remaining fixtures to boost their chances of going through to the quarter-finals. Leicestershire have been very inconsistent this year and they quickly need to resolve their issues in both the batting and bowling departments.
Leicestershire Predicted Playing 11
Neil Dexter, Mark Cosgrove, Ben Raine, Zak Chappell, Colin Ackermann (c), Ateeq Javid, Mohammad Nabi, Harry Swindells, Ned Eckersley (wk), Callum Parkinson, Gavin Griffiths
