He was also in good form in the recent T10 League, having impressed with bat and ball in the Afghanistan Premier League at various times.
Mohammad Saifuddin has been retained, meanwhile, having taken one wicket more than Afridi in last year’s BPL – 16 from Comilla’s 13 matches.

Warner’s acquisition helped seal the signature of Sandeep Lamichhane – who has left the Big Bash League to join the Sixers – while other eye-catching signings include Imran Tahir, Mohammad Irfan, Andre Fletcher, Gulbadin Naib and Pat Brown.
