However, it was left to Benny Howell, Ravi Bopara and Seekkuge Prasanna to make quick runs in the final few overs to get them home.

The Colombo Stars bowling attack will be looking to be slightly more economical in this game after making it tough for their batters by conceding 193 runs on Tuesday evening. Afghan pace bowler Naveen-ul-Haq continued his strong form with another two wickets and he will be looking forward to bowling on this pitch again in this match.

Dambulla Aura

It has been a terrible start to the 2022 LPL for Dambulla Aura who are bottom of the table with four defeats from their opening four games. Their most recent loss came on Tuesday afternoon to Kandy Falcons who had no problem in  beating them by 77 runs.

DA Batting

One of the main problems for Dambulla Aura is the lack of top order runs in the team. This was best highlighted in the defeat to Kandy Falcons with Chaturanga de Silva (25 runs from 15 balls) and Noor Ahmad (20 runs from eight balls) top scoring from numbers eight and eleven. Aura are still waiting for their first half-century of the tournament.

DA Bowling

Across three of their games, Dambulla Aura have picked up only eight wickets although they did take nine wickets the last time they played Colombo Stars in Match 5. Lahiru Kumara took 4-36 in that game and he will be the bowler the Stars are most wary of in this game.

Dambulla Aura are still searching for their first victory of the season.
