With Dane Paterson left out of the South African one-day squad, Cape Cobras could stick with the same bowling line-up to face Titans. Their only change last time out saw Mpilo Njoloza replace teenage paceman Akhona Mnyanka. Hashim Amla has also been left out of the South African squad and so could also feature.

George Linde has hit good form in recent matches, scoring half-centuries against both Dolphins and Lions, as well as picking up five wickets across those two games. He now has 164 runs and six wickets from his four matches.

Kyle Verreynne remains the Cobras’ top scorer, however, after his unbeaten century against the Knights. He also hit 84 against the Warriors and 52 against Dolphins to move to 260 runs so far – second behind Reeza Hendricks in the Momentum One Day Cup batting charts.

Hashim Amla, if he does return, will bolster their batting line-up too, while Zubayr Hamza will hope to add to his unbeaten 88 from 97 balls – the Cobras’ top score last time out.

With the ball, Dane Paterson also took three wickets last time out – claiming 3-58 from his 9.4 overs. His omission from the South Africa squad is a big boost for the Cobras as he looks to add to his eight wickets so far.

Cape Cobras failed to defend 276/6 against Warriors first up – losing in the final over as Kyle Verreynne’s 84 from 76 balls ultimately counted for nothing. He hit an unbeaten 114 to lead the chase of 283 in a three-wicket win against Knights next up, however.Defeat to Dolphins followed, despite 63 and two wickets for George Linde – the Cobras finishing 22 runs short of Dolphins’ 276/7. But they bounced back last time out – Zubayr Hamza hit an unbeaten 88 in a total of 298/5, as Linde also hit another half-century. Linde (3-39) and Dane Paterson (3-58) were then key with the ball as they bowled Lions out for 277.
