Who will win Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe, 4th T20?
Bangladesh continue their T20 Tri-Nation Series when they take on Zimbabwe in the first of the final three group matches – all of which are to be played in Chittagong. The match takes place at the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on September 18 and the live action begins at 18:30.
The Tigers beat Zimbabwe in the first round of fixtures, chasing 145 to win by three wickets in a reduced 18-over game, but they came up short against Afghanistan despite Mohammad Saifuddin’s four-wicket hail last time out.
Zimbabwe also lost to Afghanistan – reaching 169/7 in reply to 197/5 last time out. With the country’s cricketing future in turmoil, they have handed out two debuts so far but results have failed to lift the mood so far.

BAN vs ZIM Toss Prediction
Each team won the toss once in the group stage. Bangladesh did so when they last met Zimbabwe, so Zimbabwe are due to win this one. They may look to field first if they do.
BAN vs ZIM Weather Report
Chittagong is forecast to bask in a mostly sunny day on Wednesday, with only the odd cloud and the chance of rain given as low – and unlikely to stick around if it does come down. Temperatures should be around 30 degrees Celsius all day.
BAN vs ZIM Pitch Condition
Chittagong will aid the spinners – as it did in the test match against Afghanistan earlier this month – but you only have to look at some of the Bangladesh scores there last winter to see it can also be good for batting too.

Bangladesh Team News & Playing 11
BAN Team News
Bangladesh stuck with the same 11 for their two matches in Dhaka, with Mahedi Hasan and Yeasin Arafat missing out, but those two have now been dropped from the squad alongside Soumya Sarkar. In their place, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Rubel Hossain, Aminul Islam, Shaiful Islam and Mohammad Naim have all been called up. There is likely to be rotation for this game as Bangladesh assess their option in advance of next year’s World T20.
BAN Key Players
Shakib Al Hasan: Took 2-18 with the ball last time out, including a maiden, to issue a reminder of his best for though his batting has not matched yet. Nevertheless, he remains the Tigers’ key man with bat and ball.
Mohammad Saifuddin: Having taken 1-26 in the first game against Zimbabwe, he claimed 4-33 last time out with his pace bowling. It was his first four-wicket haul in T20 internationals and his third in the format in total.
Mustafizur Rahman: Wicketless last time out but he did keep things tight with the ball. His wicket-taking ability in all formats is not in doubt either – the left-arm paceman’s next scalp will be his 50th in T20 internationals, with this set to be his 33rd game.
BAN Team Form
Bangladesh have won one and lost one so far in this Tri Nation series. Their win came in a reduced 18-over match against Zimbabwe first up, when they were set 145 to win. Afif Hossain’s 52 from 26 balls ensured they got home with three wickets and two balls to spare.
Against in-form Afghanistan, however, they were bowled out for 139 replying to 164/6, after Mohammad Saifuddin had earlier claimed 4-33.
Bangladesh Predicted Playing 11
Liton Das, Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Mohammad Naim, Shakib Al Hasan (c), Mahmudullah, Sabbir Rahman, Aminul Islam, Afif Hossain, Mohammad Saifuddin, Rubel Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman
Zimbabwe Team News & Playing 11
ZIM Team News
Tony Munyonga made his Zimbabwe debut in the opening game and Ainsley Ndlovu did likewise in the second. Regis Chakabva also came into the team last time out, so Christopher Mpofu and Richmond Mutumbami are their only unused players so far. After their bowling took a hit last time out, Mpofu could come into the team this time.
ZIM Key Players
Kyle Jarvis: Expensive against Afghanistan but he took two wickets when these teams last met and has 24 in his 20 previous T20 international in total.
Ryan Burl: Followed up his big-hitting 57* in the match against Bangladesh with 25 runs – including two sixes – last time out, but he was unable to score as quickly. Nevertheless, his form is good and his leg-spin is an additional bowling option if called upon.
Brendan Taylor: Set the tone with a handy 27 from 16 balls at the top of the order last time out. The wicket-keeper-batsman has had no shortage of suitors in T20 cricket and his record stands up for itself.
ZIM Team Form
Zimbabwe have lost both matches so far. Ryan Burl hit 57*, including hammering 30 off one over, when these teams met in the opening game but Bangladesh chased their 145 target with two balls to spare.
Last time out, against Afghanistan, the Zimbabwe bowlers took some punishment as they conceded 197/5. In reply, they could only reach 169/7 despite some late counter-attacking from Regis Chakabva (42* from 22 balls).
Zimbabwe Predicted Playing 11
Brendan Taylor (wk), Hamilton Masakadza (c), Craig Ervine, Sean Williams, Timycen Maruma, Tinotenda Mutombodzi, Ryan Burl, Kyle Jarvis, Christopher Mpofu, Ainsley Ndlovu, Tendai Chatara
Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe Head to Head
Bangladesh’s win in the first match of this series was their sixth in ten previous T20 international against Zimbabwe. They had lost their previous two matches against them, when Zimbabwe toured in January 2016, but these are their first meetings since.
In the first game, reduced to 18 overs, Zimbabwe posted 144/5 after some late Ryan Burl hitting but Afif Hossain responded in kind – his 26-ball 52 proving decisive as Bangladesh won by three wickets in the final over.
