Bangladesh host Sri Lanka in a two-match Test series beginning on May 15 at the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong. The Test begins at 10:00 local time.
Bangladesh have not won a home Test since February 2020 when they beat the touring Zimbabweans. However, home advantage is big in Test cricket and they will go into this game as favourites.
Sri Lanka are under new management with Mickey Arthur departing and former England coach Chris Silverwood taking over. They will be confident of being competitive in this fixture.

The home side will definitely be without Mehidy Hasan Miraz who has a finger injury but may return for the second Test of the series. Also missing will be the injured pace bowler Taskin Ahmed. Shakib Al Hasan is expected to replace Hasan in the line-up for this game.
BAN Key Players
- Mahmudul Hasan Joy- the 21 year old opener has had a stern examination in Test cricket against South Africa, Pakistan and New Zealand in his first four games. He already has a century and a half-century to his name.
