Balochistan will take on Central Punjab in Match 4 of the Pakistan National T20 Cup. This T20 fixture will be played at The Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi on September 24 starting at 19:00 local time.
Balochistan finished bottom of the group stage of the Pakistan National T20 Cup last season, but their performances were not as bad as the position would suggest. Indeed, they won four games and finished only two points behind Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2nd place. Imam-ul-Haq will captain the side with wicketkeeper Bismillah Khan his deputy this season. We expect their top batting to come from Haris Sohail and Imam-ul-Haq with the bowling attack led by Yasir Shar and Junaid Khan.
Central Punjab had an identical record to Balochistan in last season’s tournament but finished above them by virtue of Net-Run-Rate. They have a team littered with international superstars and once again, will be expected to finish in the higher positions. Pakistan captain Babar Azam will lead the side with the very experienced Mohammad Hafeez also in the squad. The bowling attack will call upon Wahab Riaz and vice-captain Hasan Ali who took 3-30 in their opening game defeat to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
