Zimbabwe vs Netherlands – T20 World Cup Match 35 | |
---|---|
Date | 2nd November 2022 |
Time | 9:30 AM IST, 4:00 AM GMT, 2:30 PM LOCAL |
Venue | Adelaide Oval, Adelaide |
This is a must-win game for Zimbabwe as a loss will end their campaign. Zimbabwe currently have a win, a loss and an NR in three outings. They stunned everyone after beating Pakistan but will have to beat Netherlands and India to have any chance of qualifying.
The Netherlands are almost out of the tournament so they can play freely and spoil the party for Zimbabwe. They are placed at the bottom of the points table with three losses in three games.
The surface at Adelaide will be good for batting. The new ball might do a bit but there should not be much on offer. Spinners will have to play a big role.
Rain is not much off a threat as the chances of rain are as low as 20 per cent. However, the temperature will be around 10 degrees thus players can feel a bit uncomfortable.

Sikandar Raza has been sensational for Zimbabwe in the T20 World Cup 2022. He has scored 145 runs in 6 games and has taken nine wickets as well.
David Weise has done a remarkable job for the Netherlands both with the ball and bat. Sadly, he hasn't got support from other players which has led to Netherlands staying winless in the Super 12.
Max O'Dowd has played a couple of decent knocks for the Netherlands. He is their leading run-scorer with 161 runs in 6 matches. A good show by him will help the Netherlands pose a strong challenge for Zimbabwe.
Sean Williams is a good player to have given his all-round skills. Williams scored a brilliant 64 against Bangladesh and kept Zimbabwe in the hunt. He is also a very good bowler and on a good day can pick up many wickets.
Blessing Muzarambani is a good bowler who can exploit the conditions well. Muzarambani has bowled brilliantly in the tournament and has taken nine wickets in six matches.
