India bounced back in the series in style and defeated West Indies by seven wickets in the third T20I. Suryakumar Yadav finally found form and scored 83 runs in 44 balls to help India chase the target of 160 runs. Tilak Varma also continued his decent run and scored 49 not out.
West Indies, on the other hand, won’t be too concerned about the loss. They have played good cricket and registered wins in the first two games. They batted well in the 3rd T20I too but were blown away by the Surya storm. West Indies need to continue doing what they have done in three games of the series, to put decent runs on the board. India batters have been inconsistent, so a collapse is always on the cards.
The pitch is expected to be a belter. The USA is set to host the 2024 World Cup alongside West Indies and the series will give a clear idea of how much the country is prepared to host a tournament like a world cup. Coming back to the surface, it will be stored with plenty of runs. A score of 180 or above is possible.
There is a 40 per cent chance of rain on the match day and the temperature will range between 33 and 37 degrees.
Brandon King, Kyle Mayers, Johnson Charles, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Rovman Powell (c), Shimron Hetmyer, Romario Shepherd, Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein/Roston Chase, Alzarri Joseph, Obed McCoy
Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya (c), Sanju Samson, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mukesh Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav
Not many changes are expected. India are likely to stick with the same combination as they have already said that they will give youngsters a fair chance in the series. They brought in Yashasvi Jaiswal in the last game and even though he did not perform, he is likely to retain the place.
Meanwhile, West Indies rested Jason Holder and he is all set to make a comeback in the playing 11. One of Akeal Hosein or Roston Chase may sit out.
India have had an upper hand over West Indies in T20Is but the hosts have a chance to reduce the deficit against a young team India.

Jaiswal had a stellar run in IPL 2023 and was rewarded with a place in the T20I team. While he did not score much in the first game he played, he will be looking for a huge score in the fourth T20I. Jaiswal has tremendous skills with the bat and scored 177 in the first Test.
Suryakumar Yadav turned on beast mode in the third T20I and blasted 83 runs in 44 balls. Surya will be looking to ride on momentum and play another match-winning innings and make a case for himself in the Asia Cup squad.
Tilak Varma has been very consistent for India. He has scored a fifty and a 49 in three games and is the leading run-scorer of the T20I series with 139 runs in three games.
Nicholas Pooran has been very good for the team. He has scored 128 runs in 3 T20I games this series and will be eyeing another magnificent knock. A good game for him will seal the T20I series for West Indies.
The pitch will be flat so bowlers who can rattle the batters with pace will be handy. Joseph is the fastest bowler in the West Indies team so he will have to take the onus of getting Windies early wickets.
