India picked up a crushing win over West Indies in the series opener. The Men in Blue first bowled out the hosts for a mere 114 and then chased the target with just 5 wickets down. India experimented with their batting order in the first ODI with Rohit Sharma batting at no.7 and Ishan Kishan opening the innings.
Kishan scored 52 for the team but Suryakumar Yadav, Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya failed to make an impact. Surya, especially will be gutted after missing out. With Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul in the fray for the no.4 slot, Surya will have to find form soon.
Meanwhile, things are getting from bad to worse for West Indies. The team failed to qualify for the World Cup and the crushing defeat in the first game has further dented their confidence. The team will have to do something extraordinary to beat this Indian side.
The pitch in the first ODI surprised both teams as the ball was turning square. The conditions will not be easy to bat in the second ODI as well and spinners will be a big threat.
There is more than a 50 per cent chance of rain. However, there was rain predicted in the 1st ODI as well and it did not hamper play so we can be optimistic.
Shai Hope (c & wk), Kyle Mayers, Brandon King, Alick Athanaze, Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell, Romario Shepherd, Yannic Cariah, Dominic Drakes, Jayden Seales, Gudakesh Motie
Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Ishan Kishan (wk), Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Umran Malik, Mukesh Kumar
India would like to seal the series first before making changes to the team. West Indies too might just play the same playing 11.
The overall head-to-head record is neck and neck but India have dominated West Indies in the last 20 years.

Virat Kohli did not bat in the first game but if India bats first or West Indies score a big total, he is likely to bat at his usual no.3 slot. Kohli has been in great form in recent times, scoring centuries in all formats of the game.
Rohit Sharma did not bat at his usual position in the 1st ODI and came in at No.7. However if the Kohli scenario comes true and West Indies post a big score or India bat first, he should open the innings for the team. Rohit has been in good form on the tour and scored a century in the first Test.
Jadeja was at his best in the 1st ODI and rattled the Windies with a three-wicket haul. He is also one of the key batters in the middle order. Jadeja is a player one must have in a fantasy team.
The ball was turning and Kuldeep Yadav made West Indies batters dance to his tunes. Similar conditions are expected in the second ODI too and once again Kuldeep Yadav will be the trump card for Team India.
Shai Hope will have a huge responsibility of helping the Windies side put up a big score. He is one West Indies batter who can tackle this Indian attack and put them under pressure.
