Just like their men’s counterparts, Welsh Fire women are yet to win a game in the tournament. They have played two games and lost both very convincingly. In both games, they were asked to chase, and bowlers failed to restrict oppositions to a low score. The batters then failed to come close to the target. They didn’t lose many wickets, but the firepower needed to chase big scores is missing from the team.
Meanwhile, Southern Brave women have been brilliant, winning all the three games they have played. Their juggernaut in the tournament has been a result of a collective team effort. The batters have scored runs while the bowlers have been top-notch as well.
The surface is a good one to bat. Runs can be scored freely here as the boundaries are also on the shorter side. There will not be much help for the bowlers who will have to rely on good line and length.
There is an 80 per cent chance of rain on the match day thus we could be in for a start-stop game. Washout cannot be counted out either.

Southern Brave women have played well as a unit so they are unlikely to make changes. Welsh Fire women might want to tweak their team a bit to find a combination that can win them games, but changes are hard to predict.
The two teams met twice last year and both games were won by Southern Brave women

Mandhana has been in top form of late. She has scored runs in almost every game. 46 and 43 are her scores in the last two games. Given her form and at the strike rate she has batted, she is a wonderful pick.
Wyatt has been in scintillating touch so far. She scored a blazing half-century in the first game. She looked good in the previous game as well and scored 31 important runs for her team. She has picked a few wickets as well. Wyatt is very experienced and has the game that suits this format. She is a top pick as well.
She is one of the best all-rounders going around. In the last game, Matthews scored 69 runs in just 41 balls. While she had an off day with the ball and conceded 40 runs in 20 balls, she is a wonderful bowler as well and despite the odd off day, continues to remain one of the key bowlers for Welsh Fire.
The destructive opener scored a scratchy 45 in the last game. These runs will help her gain confidence and perform better in the coming game.
She has been sensational so far. She has taken seven wickets in the tournament, including two 3-fers. Her economy has been brilliant as well. She will make to the best fantasy teams given her form at the moment.
