Warwickshire topped the North group after winning 11 of the 14 matches. Warwickshire has peaked at the right moment and has won seven matches on the trot. The team looks a force to reckon with as their batters and bowlers have delivered in unison. The team has chased big scores as well as defended low totals. They managed to win the last game against Durham despite making just 141.
Essex, on the other hand, won eight matches in 14 outings and qualified for the quarterfinal as the 4th team from South Group. Essex, however, is not in great form and has lost four of the last five matches.
The surface will be a good one to bat, as has been the case throughout the tournament. Once again, the bowlers will have to rely on tight lines to enforce a false shot from the batter.
There is a 20 per cent chance of rain on the match day. The overcast conditions might force the captains to bowl first as a start-stop game helps the chasing team.

Robert Yates has been brilliant for Warwickshire with 414 runs. However, he has peaked in the last few games, scoring four back-to-back half-centuries. He will be key for Warwickshire.
Maxwell will also be a key player for Warwickshire. The destructive batter has not done much with the bat but he has played in plenty of must-win knock-out games and his experience and ability to handle pressure will help the team. Maxwell can bring out his A-game in the coming match.
Mousley is a good player to have in the team. Mousley has scored runs in the tournament while he has been among the wickets as well. Overall, he has taken 20 wickets in T20 Blast 2023 and is one of the top bowlers of the tournament.
The destructive batter has been below par this season but he has an opportunity to amend things and come out with flying colours in a must-win game.
Daniel Sams with his all-round abilities will be key for Essex. The team will need the ace all-rounder to bring out his best game if Essex has to get past Warwickshire.
