Mangalore United have played very good cricket in both their games. They defeated Hubli Tigers by 8 wickets in their opening game and then picked up a good win over Mysore Warriors by 8 runs in the last game. However, both their games were affected by rain and United got the benefit on both occasions. In the last game, they restricted Warriors to 116-5 before the rain arrived and then chased the 63-run target in the 8th over.
Meanwhile, Shivamogga Strikers have suffered losses in both their games. They lost to Mysore Warriors by 69 runs in the first game and then lost to Gulbarga Mystics by 3 wickets in previous game. However, it was a close game and could have gone either way. Shivamogga Strikers batted well and posted a healthy 175-8 but the bowlers failed to defend the target.
The wicket has got better to bat, or maybe the batters are getting used to the pace as we are seeing some big runs being posted. The wicket is still very slow and stroke-making is not the easiest task.
The last few games have been affected by rain, but the weather looks good for this match with only 8 per cent chance of rain. The temperature will be around 20 degrees.

He is having a good tournament. After scoring a 57 in the first game, he scored unbeaten 31 off 20 in the last game. He is an opener thus is a very good pick considering all aspects.
He also has had decent outings in both games. He is yet to be dismissed in the tournament, even though he hasn’t got enough opportunity to bat due to rain. Anyways, he is a good batter and will provide a solid hard hitting batting option in the middle order.
After missing out in the first game, Kadam scored a 50 in the previous game. He is one of the most promising cricketer in domestic circuit and someone who can be seen with a very bright future. A 50 early in the tournament will give him a lot of confidence.
Gowtham is a good pick due to his all-round skills. He has batted well in both innings so far and played a couple of good cameos. He was expensive in the last game as a bowler, but he is a fine bowler and should come back strong.
He has had a good tournament so far, picking three wickets with a very good economy rate. Sharath can get the new ball to swing so a wicket or two is always on the cards for him.
